When Amy Coleman accepted the position of Administrative Coordinator, her service to Orphan Care Alliance came full circle.

“In 2005, I was one of the first five families that formed Louisville Orphan Care Initiative (LOCI). At that time, I acted as the central point of contact for calls, mail/mailings and all things administrative.”

While OCA has been part of Amy’s DNA since those early days, she only came on in a official capacity for Orphan Care Alliance in late 2024. As Administrative Coordinator today, Amy wears many hats. “You would think that answering calls is a time consumer. But, for me – it’s intake interviews and weekly check-in calls for Family Preservation that takes up most of my time.” She added, “Also, I am the central hub for all documentation as it pertains to Life Coaching. I get to make sure we have all that we need for candidates to be approved and anything else that I am asked to do by the directors.”

Beyond the Day-to-Day at the Desk

While she is great at all things administrative, and nearly anything else you ask of her. You can’t spend five seconds with Amy and not realize she has a heart for others. It’s not about paperwork—it’s about people.

Her favorite part of the job? The adoptive mother of five says, “The opportunities the Lord gives me to pray with those who are in vulnerable situations.”

Amy Coleman is a reminder that administrative faithfulness isn’t just about organization. It’s about creating space for people to encounter Jesus in their moment of need.
