Next Tuesday at our OCA Connect meeting we will be learning together about food issues related to foster/adoptive families. At our past meetings, it seems like this topic has come up a lot with a spectrum of specific challenges being mentioned. We will have a short video presentation followed by a presentation by Donna Giovenco who is a registered dietician and educator, then Q & A. I know we won’t have time to cover the topic entirely but hopefully we will all leave with some helpful information to go home and try.
As a reminder, if you are bringing children please RSVP to Jennifer Baumer @ firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know the ages of the children you plan to bring. Please try to email her before this Friday, 11/3 if at all possible.

Date: The first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise scheduled. In 2017, dates are 11/7, and 12/5. In January we will meet on the 2nd Tuesday (1/9).
Since we are moving into the winter months soon, we also want to let you know that if Oldham County schools are closed due to weather on a day we are scheduled to meet, our group will automatically be cancelled. In the case of inclement weather after school please check the local news outlets and the church will announce if evening groups are cancelled. Plus, you can check your email and we will send an email to the group if at all possible.
