26 Ways to Get Involved with OCA in 2026

In no particular order 🙂 here are 26 ways you can get involved with Orphan Care Alliance in 2026:

1. Become a Life Coach: Mentor a youth (12+) with foster care or adoption experience for about an hour a week, helping them build life skills and healthy relationships.

2. Life Coach Events: Teach a class or life skill and/or host an event for Life Coaches and their mentees.

3. OCA Care Closet Volunteer: Organize donated items at the care closet

4. Serve as a Gateway Advocate: Recruit people to join OCA Gateway to meet physical needs of vulnerable children and families in your community.

5. Family Preservation Volunteer: Partner with biological families to help keep children safely with their parents.

Give, Advocate, Learn, and Share

6. Become a Hope Builder: Give to OCA once a month

7. Serve as a Family Advocate in Your Church: Equip your church to understand and support foster, adoptive, and kinship care.

8. Participate in Foster Care Training: Learn about foster care and support families.

9. Host or Support a Foster/Adoptive Family Event: Help organize community gatherings for OCA Connect groups.

10. Become a Foster or Adoptive Parent: Explore fostering or adopting through OCA’s pathways and partnerships.

Give Rest, Encourage Support, Raise Awareness, and Volunteer

11. Provide Respite Care Support: Offer flexible breaks or care for children when foster/adoptive parents need support.
