“Wait No More” comes to Louisville

September 2012

OCA has a mission to equip Christians to care for the fatherless.  There is an event in October to do exactly that.  OCA has teamed up with Focus on the Family to bring Wait No More to Louisville.

What is Wait No More?  It is an event at Northeast Christian Church in Louisville on October 20th where Christians are informed, educated, supported, and called to care for the more than 1800 children in foster care here in Kentucky and Indiana.

Join me in prayer that God will do big things to turn this event into a movement in Kentucky and Indiana.  Our prayer is that when Christians are informed of the needs of children in our communities, they will be moved to care for them.

If you can’t attend, we hope you can advocate.  Let others know and send them to our website or send them to this link: http://www.icareaboutorphans.org/Kentucky.aspx to get more information about the even and to register.  Please put this on your Facebook and encourage others to share it.  We want to send the message across Kentucky and Indiana to care for children.

A few more things to consider:

The state governments of both Indiana and Kentucky will be represented at this event.  Yes, church and state are coming together to care for children.

75% of children who leave foster care without a family become homeless or imprisoned.

The 6000+ churches in Kentucky and Indiana have the ability to care for the 1800 children in our communities and prevent future homelessness or imprisonment.

Pray, Advocate, Serve, and Care with us.

Unfortunately, no. It was amazing last year! This year, we have a difference conference hosted and sponsored by OCA called Help, Hope, Heal. It will take place at the Fegenbush Highview Campus November 9th!
