Tracy Murray to speak at March 7 OCA Connect

We hope you will be able to make it to the next OCA Connect meeting on Tuesday, March 7 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.  We’re excited to have Tracy Murray as a guest speaker.  Tracy is an occupational therapist, and at the bottom of this email is a bit more about what she teaches.

If you were able to come to our last meeting, I know you were truly blessed to hear from the Ahlers and the Dillons.  Here are a few personal takeaways from Lynn after the meeting:

  • Our love will always be insufficient for what our kids need. Only the love of the Father, available through us to them, will meet their need.

  • His love is available to us as a fruit of the Spirit – through our personal connection with Him – and must remain the priority.

  • Life is messy and it’s OK. Trying to keep things together/organized/on track costs everyone their peace and isn’t real.

We plan to start our time together next Tuesday processing some of the ideas discussed in February.  Personally, I was speechless right after hearing their stories, but since we’ve all had a bit of time since then it might be good to share takeaways and the way we’ve applied some of what we learned.

Next, Tracy will present her topic for about 20-30 minutes and we should have time for Q & A.  Then we can spend a few minutes catching up on everyone’s prayer requests and praises.

Please help us spread the word about this opportunity to connect with other families who “get it” and are on a similar journey to the one you may be on, have been on, or are considering starting.
