Some children have waited their whole lives to be known.

The Adoptive Families Care group at Southland Christian Church hosts a local adoption and foster care seminar presented by Orphan Care Alliance.

LEXINGTON, February 2014 – Whether a family is in the process of adoption, taking foster care classes, or has curiosities about adopting, this event will provide in-depth information on a variety of vital topics including eight breakout sessions. Families, as well as singles, are encouraged to attend this seminar to seek answers to their questions in a friendly and inviting environment. Speakers include representatives from the Kentucky state government, foster and adoptive parents, and private adoption and foster care agencies. Break-out sessions will be taught by local leaders in adoption and foster care, and several agencies will have exhibit tables. Break-out topics include creative fundraising, trans-racial and older child adoptions, private vs. state foster care, home studies, and more.

Orphan Care Alliance will present this free seminar on March 15, 2014 from 8:00am to 1:00pm, in Building B at the Southland Christian Church Harrodsburg Road campus.
