I Know What It’s Like to Be Orphaned

This year’s Spring Adoption and Foster Care Seminar in Lexington, hosted by Southland Christian Church was such an uplifting event! Speaker, JT Olson was heartfelt and gave so much depth to the foundation of the Both Hands Foundation. With forty families seeking to journey toward adoption the day was a great success. Families were able to talk with professionals about international, private/domestic, embryo and foster to adopt.

Professionals from Bethany Christian Services, Lifeline Children’s Services, CCAI adoption services, All Blessings International, Nightlight Christian Adoptions, Both Hands, AWAA, Adopt Inc., Adoption Support for Kentucky, DCBS, Building Arizona Families and The Bair Foundation were among the exhibitors and lead the breakout sessions.

We had two big sponsors for this event who provided coffee and lunch for the attendees. We would like to thank locally owned Positively Java and our friends at Zaxby’s for their willingness to partner with us for this event to bless the seminar attendees.

Throughout the year, OCA offers monthly adoption option classes, mentor programs, and support meetings for pre and post adoptive/foster families. If you are interested in learning more about taking the next step toward adoption or foster care, we are here to help.

Serving in 13 Kentucky counties, OCA’s staff and volunteers have a deep passion and desire to see families give themselves to children! Keep an eye out for the large list of upcoming FALL 2016 events. Some of the events will include; Golf Scramble, Orphan Sunday, Help Hope Heal Conference…

We look forward to equipping more Christians and seeing vulnerable children set into families and given lasting community through the work of the local ministries of OCA!

Most events presented by OCA are provided free of charge to exhibitors, as well as attendees. Make a donation to help keep these events free!
