The myth is that you have to adopt or become a foster family to help take care of the fatherless. You don’t. There are both large and small ways to help. The even bigger myth is that someone else is going to help.
Christian artist, Matthew West has a song titled Do Something in which the chorus says, “If not us, then who? If not me and you, Right now, it’s time for us to do something. If not now, then when? Will we see an end, To all this pain? It’s not enough to do nothing. It’s time for us to do something!”
Pray that the church will step up boldly to take care of the most vulnerable group of kids in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Please pray that God will make it clear what your part in this ministry will be.
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38 NIV
Not only are the monetary donations an important part of what we do, and limit what are able to do… but we also need more volunteers! We are only able to accomplish what we have resources and volunteers to achieve.
You can be part of the impact!
We would love to meet with you and find the right fit for your gifts and talents to join the movement in Kentuciana to defend the fatherless. If you would like more information about how you can be involved through volunteering- please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it-not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it-they will be blessed in what they do.”
James 1:22-25 NIV
