Each Monday we will post a 7 day guide with meditational verses and prayers for each day leading up to Orphan Sunday, November 3.

DAY 12 – MONDAY

Hope Beyond the Streets

Verse

Jeremiah 29:12-13

Prayer

Father, we ask for Your protection over the young girls who have been kidnapped, transported, and forced to sell their bodies. Show them a new way. Give them hope beyond the streets. Call Your people to intervene in their lives; may we be listening.

Day 13 – Tuesday

Escalation

Verse

Psalms 22:3-11

Prayer

Lord, thank you for transforming our lives and the lives of thousands of children in our world today. But, Lord, continue to break our hearts for the millions of street children who look to drugs for comfort. We know You love them and have already paid the price for their redemption, but they do not know their true worth as Your sons and daughters. We pray Your transforming love will be revealed to them.

Day 14 – Wednesday

Earning their trust

Verse

Hebrews 12:7-13

Prayer

Lord, even as we trust You and the path You place before us, please help these children to trust the ones helping them chart the paths of their lives. Give Your people discernment, wisdom, and perseverance to nurture Your children.

Day 15 – Thursday

Purity Recovered

Verse

Psalms 10:11-18

Prayer

Father, thank you for all the young women in our community. Help them see themselves as You see them: worthy of love, of infinite value, and precious to You. Work in their lives to bring them closer to You, so that they may show Your love to others.

Day 16 – Friday

A Heart’s Confirmation

Verse

Psalms 118:26

Prayer

Father, for the gift of Your servants in our community, we give Thanks. Bless them as they become You hands to these children who need to know the love of Your touch.

Day 17 – Saturday

Transformation from the inside out

Verse

Romans 12:2

Prayer

Lord, You know that life changes are hard, but You are our Deliverer. We know Your provision can change lives, even those who have only known the sin of the streets. We ask You to transform the lives of every child in our care.

Day 18 – Sunday

Working behind the scenes

Verse

1 Thessalonians 1:3

Prayer

We give thanks for those who do the work that is not always seen–for their faithfulness, and their labor. We ask You, Lord, to bless them, strengthen them, and make their work productive for Your kingdom.
