The topic is creating meaningful traditions and we will share ideas to incorporate foster and adoptive children into existing family traditions, discuss issues related to the holidays and how that can be especially difficult for these children, and share with each other things that have worked well in the past. Parenting skills would include preparing children in advance as much as possible for new events, incorporating important cultures/traditions of children, and how to travel with kids in the holidays. Our speaker will be Lynn Willing.
